Colter & Peterson to showcase trio of new products at PRINT 17

Playing off the strengths that have made it North America’s preferred choice and the largest independent distributor of paper cutting and paper handling equipment, Colter & Peterson (booth 4013) will feature three new products at PRINT 17. The five-day show will be held September 10-14 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

C&P will introduce the new E-Cut series, a 45” SABER® paper cutting system with automated knife adjustment, and a 31” PRISM® paper cutter. The last two machines represent the company’s premier brand lines. They will be showcased with the industry-leading Microcut® electronics package that can increase production by as much as 50 percent.

The E-Cut series is a new economy line of paper cutters that will be the least expensive machine in the marketplace, depending on the size. With a state-of-the-art design, it will offer steady and reliable performance with a simple controller. The automated knife adjustment follows in the footsteps of other C&P equipment that promotes ease-of-use and greater productivity.

The new SABER and PRISM paper cutters exemplify why these two are among the most popular brands on the market. The new 45” SABER offers the same outstanding features and benefits that the machine is known for, including its workhorse reputation. The new 31” PRISM has earned its chops for the precision accuracy of its high speed steel knives and rugged durability.

Both the SABER and PRISM will be demonstrated with the time saving 15” Microcut PLUS Cutter Control System. The system is proving to be an operator’s best friend, offering a wide format programmable touch screen and new software with enhanced graphics for converted JDF files. The added graphics program is color coordinated, allowing the operator to see what they are cutting so they can determine what to keep and what to throw away. Other benefits include money-saving microcip® and microfacts® features, where programs are uploaded from the network connection with a USB device using CIP3 and CIP4 files. No additional hardware or software is necessary.
