Colter & Peterson’s custom paper cutter arrangement logs significant time at J.J. Keller & Associates, Inc.

J.J. Keller & Associates, Inc., located in Neenah, Wisconsin, has been helping organizations manage regulatory and safety compliance for more than 60 years. Serving the needs of more than 420,000 customers, J.J. Keller & Associates, Inc. continuously looks for opportunities to streamline processes and operational efficiencies.

In efforts to maximize productivity in their publications operation, J.J. Keller worked with Colter & Peterson to install a new paper cutter – Colter & Peterson’s 37” Saber® X15 with Microcut™ and a custom built table bed. This system is able to cut and trim millions of publications monthly.

“We are really impressed with the new Colter & Peterson system,” said Al Ditter, manufacturing maintenance manager for J.J. Keller & Associates, Inc. “When looking to implement a new system into our operation, we needed a system that was robust and durable enough to handle the volume of publications we produce.”

As North America’s largest independent distributor of paper cutters and paper handling equipment, Colter & Peterson knew exactly what J.J. Keller needed.

“Integrating the Saber X15 system was important since it provides us with the engineering and documentation for the future. We immediately recognized efficiencies and a much smoother operation,” said Ditter.

The Saber X15 is manufactured to ISO-9001 standards, complete with a new hydraulic system and cut optimization. The automated and efficient Microcut system includes cutting edge technology. The wide format color touch screen programming and control panel, plus key safety features, make operators more productive.

“Our operators like the Saber X15 system,” informed Ditter. “I was expecting to get some pushback from them because it is different from what they are used to, but their comments have been favorable.”
