Paterson, NJ - Southeastern Printing, a commercial
printer based in Stuart, Florida, has purchased a
Wohlenberg City 5000 perfect binder from Colter &
Peterson, North America’s only distributor for the
complete line of Wohlenberg perfect binders.
The City 5000 binder purchased by Southeastern
Printing includes a host of automated features that
reduce makeready times, enhance production speed
and maximize the quality of every finished book. The
company also chose to equip their City 5000 with PUR
adhesive binding capabilities. PUR is the strongest
and most durable binding adhesive available, and is highly recommended for projects with heavy ink and
coating coverage.
According to Southeastern Printing President Don Mader, the company selected the City 5000 for its range
of features and flexibility to handle the variety of products Southeastern Printing typically produces.
“We have traditionally subcontracted our adhesive binding services to dedicated trade binderies,” said
Mader. “While we will continue to use the services of a dedicated bindery for many of our projects, we feel
the volume and nature of our work requires an in-house solution. We couldn’t be happier with the early
returns on our Wohlenberg; it has proven to be as user-friendly and flexible as we had hoped.
“The peace-of-mind of having a company like Colter & Peterson (www.colterpeterson.com) backing up the
Wohlenberg binder was also an important factor. Their sizable parts and service support network will keep
downtime to a minimum should any problems arise.”
